COURSE DETAILS
Our courses are an efficient and effective design crafted to teach and develop the fundamentals drawing. Each course runs for ten weeks with one hour sessions per week, and culminates in a presentation of a final product. All materials are provided with the course.
Beginner Lessons
Our beginner lessons aim to teach students form and structure and how to apply these concepts to both face and anatomy drawing.
Day One
Exploring basic shapes and forms. Students learn to form and shade cubes, spheres, cones, and other 3D structures.
Day Two
Students begin exploring the human face and learn how to render basic proportions and facial features.
Day Three
Students learn human anatomy proportioning and how to render the human figure.
Day Four
Students continue learning human anatomy and begin applying previous concepts to different poses and stances.
Day Five
Students explore drawing clothing and cloth. They learn drapery and seams and points.
Day Six - Ten
Students are introduced to and work on the final project. On the final day, students come together and present their creations
Final Product
Each of Brushes and Beyond’s courses culminates in a final project that showcases the student’s acquired skills. The project for the beginner course consists of a full character sheet with two headshots and one full body drawing.
